Vinga expands in continental Europe!

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Jean-Francois Prats, the latest addition to the Swiss Vinga Securities team

What is your professional background?
– I have spent the past 20 years working for Swiss Private Banks as an investment advisor, covering different markets such as Brazil, Saudi and the US. I have also worked 3 years for Carmignac AG, a French Asset management company, being in charge of the distribution of our inhouse funds on the Swiss B2B market.

What will be your main responsibilities as part of Vinga? 
– Together with the other members of the Swiss team, I will be looking for investors into our various investments solutions, such as Bonds or inhouse Fund, to further develop our Swiss client database.

You are based in Geneva. What makes Geneva one of Europe’s leading financial centers?
– Geneva is, and always has been, one of the most important locations in the financial world. The city has more than 250 banks and around 2500 Independent Asset Managers, making it a wide source of potential clients for Vinga. These companies have been among Switzerland’s largest job providers for more than two centuries so it is safe to say that finance is in the Swiss DNA! Working directly with professional investors will make our job much more concrete and easier to pitch to our clients.
